HVW Evolution Episode 2 Post-Show Press Conference

HVW Evolution Episode 2 Post-Show Press Conference

The Las Cruces Convention Center Ballroom is still buzzing.

The lights from the Evolution broadcast have only recently gone dark, but the room has been transformed into something different.

A press stage.

A Heroes & Villains Wrestling banner hangs behind a long black curtain backdrop. Rows of reporters, wrestling media members, and a handful of fans fill the room, waiting to hear what comes next after another chaotic night in HVW.

Two smaller podiums sit on either side of the main stage.

On the left...

A championship covered by a black cloth.

On the right...

Another championship covered by a black cloth.

The crowd immediately begins whispering.

Everyone knows what this is about.

The Sheriff steps through the curtain.

Cowboy hat.

Denim jacket.

A grin that tells everyone in the room he knows something they don't.

The fans immediately erupt.

He walks to the center podium, looking left and right at the covered championships.

The Sheriff: "Well..."

He adjusts his hat.

The Sheriff: "I reckon after tonight, y'all probably figured I wasn't gonna let everybody go home without givin' ya a little more to talk about."

The crowd cheers.

The Sheriff looks toward the two covered podiums.

The Sheriff: "When Heroes & Villains Wrestling started, I promised everybody one thing."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "This place was gonna be different."

The crowd settles.

The Sheriff: "Not just another company with another ring and another championship that sits around collectin' dust."

He taps the podium.

The Sheriff: "These championships are gonna mean somethin'."

A loud reaction comes from the fans.

The Sheriff: "And tonight, I'm proud to officially introduce two brand new pieces of HVW history."

The room immediately erupts with camera flashes.

The Sheriff walks toward the podium on his left.

He grabs the black cover.

The Sheriff: "First..."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "A championship built for those who don't know the meaning of the word impossible."

He pulls.

The black cloth falls away.

The crowd immediately reacts.

Standing on the podium is a stunning platinum championship belt, lined with bright neon blue accents that glow underneath the ballroom lights.

The Sheriff smiles.

The Sheriff: "The HVW No Limits Championship."

Huge cheers.

The camera flashes explode.

The Sheriff picks up the championship, holding it high.

The Sheriff: "This title ain't about weight classes. It ain't about rankings. It ain't about somebody tellin' you what you can and can't do."

He looks around.

The Sheriff: "This is for the risk takers. The wild cards. The people willing to bet everything on themselves."

He places the championship back down.

The Sheriff: "And at Six Guns & Sinners, we're gonna find out who the very first person is to carry this title."

The crowd cheers again.

The Sheriff walks toward the second covered podium.

The energy changes.

The Sheriff: "But every great territory needs more than one person standin' tall."

He looks toward the championship.

The Sheriff: "Sometimes the strongest weapon ain't the person beside you..."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "It's the person standin' with you."

He pulls the second black cloth.

The room erupts.

A pair of beautiful gold championships sit on display.

The Alliance Championships.

The Sheriff nods.

The Sheriff: "The HVW Alliance Championships."

More cheers.

The Sheriff: "Tag team wrestling has always been about trust. Timing. Sacrifice."

He looks toward the crowd.

The Sheriff: "And at Six Guns & Sinners, we're gonna find out which team truly belongs together."

The Sheriff steps back behind the microphone.

The Sheriff: "Now, I know everybody wants to know the rules."

He smiles.

The Sheriff: "So let's talk about 'em."

The Alliance Standard Match

The Sheriff gestures toward the Alliance Championships.

The Sheriff: "Four teams. One set of championships."

A graphic appears behind him showing the competitors.

The Gentleman’s Club
Franklin Fredrickson & Jarvis King

The Triad
Evelyn Hart & Samara Astrid

The Brat Pack
Adrian Ward & Leyla Martinez

Blind Magic
Blind Ambition & Magik The Gatherer

The crowd reacts to the names.

The Sheriff: "Now, this ain't gonna be your ordinary tag team match."

A grin.

The Sheriff: "Because HVW ain't ordinary."

The crowd cheers.

The Sheriff: "Each team will be given their own banner."

A few confused looks from the reporters.

The Sheriff: "A real western posse flag."

He points toward the stage.

The Sheriff: "Those banners will start rolled up inside Sheriff's stands around ringside."

He leans closer.

The Sheriff: "And the goal ain't to steal somebody else's."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "The goal is to defend your own."

The room grows intrigued.

The Sheriff: "To win the Alliance Championships, both members of a team have to retrieve their banner, bring it into the ring, raise it onto the central flag mount..."

He raises a finger.

The Sheriff: "And keep it standing for a ten-count."

The crowd reacts.

The Sheriff: "That means while one team is seconds away from victory, somebody else can tear that dream right down."

He smiles.

The Sheriff: "Temporary alliances. Last-second saves. Four teams fighting over territory."

He looks toward the championship.

The Sheriff: "Because around here..."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "Champions don't just hold ground."

The Sheriff: "They claim it."

The Sheriff turns back toward the No Limits Championship.

The Sheriff: "And then there's this one."

The crowd cheers.

The Sheriff: "The High Noon Match."

The graphic changes.

HVW No Limits Championship High Noon Match

Camden Falls
Jace Parker Davidson
Lorenzo Vittorio DeLuca
Roxanne Rodriguiz

The Sheriff: "Four competitors."

He points toward the screen.

The Sheriff: "Four poker chips."

The graphic shows the four suits.

♠ ♥ ♦ ♣

The Sheriff: "Each chip represents one suit."

He pauses.

The Sheriff: "And you don't win this championship by pinning one person."

The room gets quieter.

The Sheriff: "You win by collecting all four."

A few reporters immediately start writing.

The Sheriff: "The only way to collect a chip?"

A grin.

The Sheriff: "Pin somebody who currently owns it."

The crowd reacts.

The Sheriff: "That means every single person in this match is carrying something somebody else needs."

He nods.

The Sheriff: "You ain't chasing a championship."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "You're chasing pieces of it."

The crowd cheers.

The Sheriff: "And once somebody has all four suits..."

He points toward the No Limits Championship.

The Sheriff: "They exchange 'em for this."

Suddenly, a voice interrupts.

???: "Sounds complicated."

The crowd turns.

Jace Parker Davidson steps through the curtain.

The reaction is immediate.

The Sheriff smiles.

Jace walks down toward the stage.

Jace Parker Davidson: "But I guess that's fitting."

He looks at the No Limits Championship.

Jace Parker Davidson: "Because nothing about becoming the first No Limits Champion should be easy."

He steps beside the podium.

Jace: "Four people. Four chips. Four different paths."

A smirk.

Jace: "But eventually..."

He taps the championship.

Jace: "Everybody's path runs through me."

The crowd reacts.

Before Jace can continue—

Another voice.

Lorenzo Vittorio DeLuca enters.

The reaction changes instantly.

Boos rain down.

Lorenzo walks slowly toward the stage, dressed impeccably, looking completely unfazed.

Lorenzo: "You Americans always make things sound so dramatic."

He looks at Jace.

Lorenzo: "A treasure hunt."

He laughs.

Lorenzo: "Poker chips."

He shakes his head.

Lorenzo: "How charming."

He steps face-to-face with Jace.

Lorenzo: "But when the dust settles, this isn't going to be won by whoever jumps the highest or fights the hardest."

A pause.

Lorenzo: "It's going to be won by the person smart enough to take advantage."

Jace smiles.

Jace: "So basically..."

He gets closer.

Jace: "You're already planning on cheating."

The crowd cheers.

Lorenzo smirks.

Lorenzo: "No."

A pause.

Lorenzo: "I'm planning on winning."

The two stare each other down.

The Sheriff stands between them.

And once again...

That promoter smile appears.

The Sheriff: "Well."

He looks between them.

The Sheriff: "Guess next week's Evolution just got itself a little more interesting."

The crowd erupts.

Jace and Lorenzo never break eye contact.

The Sheriff steps back to the microphone.

The energy in the room is electric.

The Sheriff: "And that's just the beginning."

He looks toward the reporters.

The Sheriff: "Because Six Guns & Sinners is shaping up to be one heck of a night."

The crowd cheers.

The Sheriff: "We've got three huge elimination matches."

A pause.

The Sheriff: "The Regulators joining forces with Danielle Page to finally put an end to HOSTILITY."

The reaction is loud.

The Sheriff: "We've got Dan 'The Hammer' Highlander defending the HVW World Championship against the sinister clown who made his presence known last night..."

The room darkens slightly.

The Sheriff: "Ozric Mortimer."

Boos and uneasy reactions fill the room.

The Sheriff: "We've got the birth of these two championships."

He gestures toward the podiums.

The Sheriff: "And we've got plenty more surprises still waitin'."

He adjusts his hat.

The Sheriff: "Because Six Guns & Sinners ain't just another pay-per-view."

A pause.

The Sheriff smiles.

The Sheriff: "It's where Heroes & Villains Wrestling proves exactly what kind of world we're buildin'."

The fans begin chanting.

HVW! HVW! HVW!

The Sheriff looks out at the crowd.

The Sheriff: "August first."

He nods.

The Sheriff: "Y'all better be ready."

The crowd erupts one final time.

The cameras flash.

The No Limits Championship shines blue.

The Alliance Championships shine gold.

And the press conference officially comes to an end.

Six Guns & Sinners is coming.
