After The Storm (HVW Saturday Night Ep. 4 Post Show)

The cameras fade back in as most of the crowd has already begun filing out of the Seguin High School Goldie Harris Gymnasium. Workers move around ringside collecting equipment while a few dozen die-hard fans remain in the bleachers, still buzzing from everything they witnessed tonight.

Inside the ring, the HVW Territory Championship has long since been taken backstage by Old Redhook.

The lights have fully returned. The giant screen simply displays the HVW logo. At ringside, Michelle Rylan and The Bandit remain seated behind the announce desk.

Both look exhausted, stunned. The Bandit finally breaks the silence.

The Bandit: "Michelle..."

Michelle Rylan: "What?"

The Bandit: "I think we just watched our boss get kidnapped, negotiate with his kidnapper, launch a second wrestling show, and agree to split his entire company."

Michelle stares at him.

Michelle Rylan: "When you say it out loud it somehow sounds even crazier."

The Bandit nods.

The Bandit: "That's because it is."

A few remaining fans laugh. Michelle adjusts her headset.

Michelle Rylan: "Ladies and gentlemen, if you're somehow just joining us after all of that..."

She pauses.

Michelle Rylan: "At Destiny's Divide on July 4th, Heroes & Villains Wrestling will officially hold a draft."

The remaining crowd let off a few whistles.

Michelle Rylan: "The Sheriff will control one roster."

The Bandit points toward the giant screen.

The Bandit: "Saturday Night."

Michelle nods.

Michelle Rylan: "And The Hacker will control the other."

The giant screen briefly flashes the Evolution logo and the remaining crowd reacts again.

The Bandit: "Tuesday nights."

Michelle Rylan: "Evolution."

The Bandit leans back in his chair.

The Bandit: "You know what bothers me most?"

Michelle sighs.

Michelle Rylan: "I'm afraid to ask."

The Bandit: "The Hacker."

Michelle nods.

The Bandit: "He's young."

Michelle raises an eyebrow.

The Bandit: "Did you see that reflection?"

Michelle Rylan: "Barely."

The Bandit: "Exactly."

Michelle Rylan: "That's your biggest concern?"

The Bandit: "Absolutely."

Michelle Rylan: "Not the blackmail?"

The Bandit: "No."

Michelle Rylan: "Not the kidnapping?"

The Bandit: "No."

Michelle Rylan: "Not the fact he somehow built an entire television show behind everyone's back?"

The Bandit points dramatically.

The Bandit: "No."

Michelle pinches the bridge of her nose.

The Bandit: "The man is technologically advanced enough to hack a wrestling company and kidnap a billionaire."

Pause.

The Bandit: "And he's probably younger than me."

A few fans laugh as Michelle shakes her head.

Michelle Rylan: "You are impossible."

The Bandit smiles.

The Bandit: "I've been told."

Michelle looks directly into the camera.

Michelle Rylan: "Regardless of who The Hacker is, Destiny's Divide has instantly become the biggest event in HVW history."

The crowd cheers as loud as about fourteen people possibly can.

Michelle Rylan: "Old Redhook will defend the newly won Territory Championship against Queen Bianca Davis."

The Bandit: "That stare down looked like somebody was about to get stabbed with a crown."

Michelle continues.

Michelle Rylan: "Samara Astrid and Evelyn Hart will finally meet in a Falls Count Anywhere Match."

The Bandit: "Assuming they're not already fighting somewhere in Seguin."

Michelle almost smiles.

Michelle Rylan: "Jarvis King and Franklin Fredrickson will meet one-on-one."

The Bandit: "Twenty years of friendship and frustration finally exploding."

Michelle Rylan: "And perhaps most importantly..."

She pauses.

Michelle Rylan: "The future of Heroes & Villains Wrestling will be decided."

The crowd applauds.

Michelle Rylan: "Who stays with The Sheriff?"

The Bandit: "Who joins Evolution?"

Michelle Rylan: "Who gets drafted?"

The Bandit: "Who gets left behind?"

Michelle Rylan: "What massive surprises do the Sheriff and Hacker have in store...because you just KNOW they do."

The camera slowly widens. Fans continue filtering out behind them. Workers begin taking apart parts of the ringside setup. The giant screen alternates.

HVW Saturday Night.

HVW Evolution.

Michelle looks up at it. For the first time all evening, she seems genuinely uncertain.

Michelle Rylan: "One week."

The Bandit nods.

The Bandit: "One week until everything changes."

The camera slowly pulls back from the announce desk as the remaining fans rise and begin heading toward the exits. The giant screen continues cycling between the two logos.

Red.

Blue.

Saturday Night.

Evolution.

As the scene fades away, one final question hangs over Heroes & Villains Wrestling. Not who the champion is, not who wins at Destiny's Divide. But who will choose which side of the divide they stand on.

Fade out.
