Deacon St John
Character Info
For a moment, there is only silence.
Then—
“Look…”
The opening notes of “Nonstop” by Drake hit through the speakers.
A single gold spotlight illuminates the entrance stage as thick white smoke rolls across the floor. LED screens flicker to life, displaying the glowing logos of NOIR • MIAMI and SINNERS & SAINTS • LAS VEGAS, alternating with stacks of casino chips, champagne bottles, luxury sports cars, and flashing neon signs. The imagery is sleek—not gaudy. Expensive. Exclusive.
The crowd erupts into a huge onslaught of slander and boos.
Deacon St. John doesn’t appear immediately.
He makes them wait…
On the beat drop, he steps through the curtain wearing his wrestling attire.
He pauses at the top of the stage.
His lips curl into a smug grin as he slowly surveys the crowd, not with appreciation…
…but with evaluation.
Like a businessman deciding which investments are worth his time.
A shower of gold pyro erupts behind him, bathing the stage in shimmering light.
Deacon scans the arena again before casually removing his sunglasses. He hands them to a sharply dressed attendant waiting near the curtain without ever taking his eyes off the ring.
He begins his walk.
Measured.
Confident.
Unhurried.
Every step says the same thing:
“This place belongs to me.”
Fans reaching over the barricade are ignored completely. Others shout insults his way, but Deacon never acknowledges them. To him, they aren’t people.
They’re customers.
Numbers.
Revenue.
As he reaches ringside, he circles the ring with deliberate confidence before climbing the steel steps. He wipes an imaginary speck of dust from the top rope before stepping through them with effortless grace.
Standing in the center of the ring, he slowly paces around nodding his head to the beat of his entrance music.
Deacon gives off another smirk, as he cracks his neck and rolls his shoulders.
Then looks directly into the hard camera with a smug smirk.
“You all paid to watch me.”
He spreads his arms as the lights brighten around him.
“And business…”
“…is booming.”
